Celebrate Your Biz
Traditionally, I analyze the results of my goals and planned for the next year’s goals at the last week of December to the first week of January. Reviewing my goals at the end of the year was a huge mistake for me. Now, I review my goals on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis. Keeping tabs on my goals keeps them alive and I am more likely to hit my milestones.
At the end of the year I still review and plan goals, but about five months ago I said to myself: “I am reviewing and planning but not celebrating any of my wins”. It is easy to get caught up in the holiday season with our personal and professional lives without truly celebrating our wins for the year. Before I would know it, I am in full go-mode in the first quarter and not bother celebrating any of my achievements I had spent the last 12 months working hard on.
Whether it is at the end of each quarter of mid-year, take the time to celebrate the wins in your business. This is also the time to review any short comings and learn from those experiences.
Below are 10 examples of biz wins you can incorporate for your business. While it is a good practice to measure any or all of these examples, it is necessary to only have up to two goals to focus on for a given quarter and / or the entire year. Focus on everything…there is no focus at all.
